Chapter One

Andrew Thompson absorbed the energy pulsing from the city. Their penthouse provided some of the best views of Manhattan; sometimes, he’d stand there for hours, taking it all in and becoming lost in his thoughts.
Since they met, it became Andrew’s ambition to ensure his wife Angela was happy and fulfilled in every aspect of her life. Needing nothing. And until recently, his VP and Director of Operations position more than accomplished it. But six weeks ago, the company’s founder appointed him CEO and signed over the majority stake in the company, skyrocketing him to a net worth of almost a billion dollars.
Despite his multi-millionaire status, it took a little while to accept. The millions took years to get to, and this happened almost overnight.
The cityscape disappeared, his mind wandering to the last conversation he and Lex shared….
Lex dropped into the chair across from Andrew and announced his retirement. He barely got over his shock that Lex wasn’t in London before the man told Andrew he received an urgent call to return to the family fold and, to top it off, a never-mentioned fiancé he’d marry…well, sometime around now, Andrew guessed.
It pained him to see his mentor step aside when it was apparent the man didn’t want to. He carried the look of someone with no options left. Lex didn’t elaborate beyond what he planned to offer regarding the company. Which turned out to be a hell of a lot.
Despite collaborating with him for several years, Andrew didn’t know much about the man who created this company beyond his intense work ethic and philanthropy with the charity he founded. It’s a lingering disappointment he carried. Not making more of an effort to get to know the man he worked with.
Lex handed over paperwork to discuss with his attorney, transferring fifty-one percent of the stock to Andrew and appointing him CEO.
Andrew accepted when the shock wore off, and they hashed out the details. Lex wanted things settled quick, but toward the end of the day, when their lawyers stepped into the anterior room, giving them a moment alone, Lex caught Andrew off guard. For the second time.
He wanted a favor. A guest pass to one of the most exclusive sex clubs in the city, one he knew Andrew and his wife belonged to. His longtime friend, Jasper Jones, brought the Club to life a few years ago after he retired from the military. But Lex already knew this. Andrew’s connections and discretion were the reasons he’d asked.
He even tried to make light of his request, telling Andrew he wanted to celebrate the significant shift in his life. Have one last hurrah before walking down the aisle. The truth behind Lex’s words revealed a man desperate to have a memory of one of his deepest desires to take with him.
While Andrew didn’t announce he and Angela led an alternative lifestyle whenever they walked into a room, he wasn’t offended Lex knew of their longtime membership in Decadent. The man did a thorough background check on all his employees. Andrew doubted there wasn’t much he didn’t learn about every single person who worked for him.
Which contradicted the measures Lex took to protect his privacy.
Andrew remembered how Lex sprawled in the seat across from him. He tried, but didn’t quite emit an air of confident nonchalance. He wanted to help Lex find whatever he sought. “I can introduce you to -”
Lex cut him off. “Just the pass. I need to figure out the rest on my own.”
“If you’re sure…?”
“Yes, I am sure. Grazie.” The man remained a riddle, letting no one close enough to solve his puzzle. Andrew stared at him a moment more, then he picked up the phone and dialed Jasper’s number, ensuring Lex had access to the Club that night….
The security alarm beeped, resetting when the apartment door closed, shaking the memories from his mind. He downed the last of the amber liquid in his glass, its warmth settling in his belly. Now wasn’t the time to dwell on what Lex got up to at the Club. Or what he’s filled his days with since his sudden departure.
His Angel is going out alone tonight. Under normal circumstances, Andrew would’ve gotten ready by her side, heading to Decadent for a night of indulgence, but he arranged something specifically for her this evening.
He understood some thought him too controlling. They also didn’t appreciate his and Angela’s dynamic, but it wasn’t his job to educate others on the why and how of sharing his wife with those he deemed worthy or how it brought them incredible pleasure.
After he and Angela discussed what they each wanted, Andrew reached out to Jasper, who told him he knew the perfect person to suit their needs and promised to introduce Angela and Samantha himself.
His head of security, Kirk, will accompany Angela to the Club. Andrew knew she’d be safe while he stayed here, waiting for Kirk’s call, giving him every detail.
With a glance at his watch, Andrew saw it was almost ten. The stylist who pampered Angela for the past two hours triggered the door alert when they left a few minutes ago.
He left his spot by the window, strolling through their penthouse toward the entryway where he knew Angela waited for him. She’d be on her knees in an exquisite dress with her head bowed like his good little submissive.
The moment he rounded the corner, a proud smile graced the line of his mouth. Angela wouldn’t see it; trained well, she kept her gaze on the floor, breathtaking in her submission.
He wanted tonight to be perfect for Angela, everything she imagined and more, but he expected it to be emotional for her, too. Andrew planned to remove her collar, allowing her to step into a role she seldom held. Angela had her safeword, but she expected him to push her limits, and he’d push them tonight.
College sweethearts, together for almost twenty years, and she took his breath away every day. She was his match in every way. Love, happiness, and all the kinky fuckery they wanted. Perfect for one another.
Andrew’s gaze traveled over her, taking in her pampered perfection. His cock was hard when he stopped in front of her. He needed to get used to it because it’d be an evening of delayed gratification until he found his release in the heat of her sweet pussy later tonight.
“You look exquisite, Angel.”
She wore one of the three dresses he’d directed the stylist to bring. No surprise, she chose his favorite. Her dark hair, warm brown eyes, and creamy skin were all complemented by the dark red dress. The fitted sleeves went to her hands, and the deep V of the neckline dipped to her navel, displaying the swells of her breasts. The material was thin enough to show the outline of her pierced nipples.
Her sensitive buds puckered with the weight of the rings he selected for her to wear. She’d feel the tantalizing tug on her nipples all evening, reminding Angela what awaited her at home.
Andrew tapped the inside of her knee with the toe of his polished leather shoe, his sweet sub quick to spread her thighs wider, exposing her bare wanton cunt to his stare. “Good girl.”
The intoxicating scent of her arousal tempted him to be greedy. He wanted to press her face to the floor, keeping her ass high in the air, so he could bury his tongue in her cunt until her release ran down his chin. Andrew suppressed a growl, his control wavering.
Later.
Walking around her, he trailed his index finger beneath her collar, teasing her delicate skin and making Angela shiver with anticipation. He dropped to his haunches behind her.
“You honor me wearing this collar, Angel,” he whispered against her neck. “Your submission is a gift I’ll always cherish.” Her response was nothing more than a shuddering breath.
The collar he presented Angela four years ago was one of stainless steel. An O-ring hung from it like a pendant, and he’d gifted her with a new jewel for its center each year to commemorate the day he locked it around her throat. She wore one whenever they went out to dinner or to an event. Otherwise, it’s where he’d attach her leash or hook his finger to pull her close.
For the first time in years, Andrew intended Angela to leave their apartment with her throat bare. He fit the key into its tiny slot and turned it, hearing Angela’s soft gasp when the collar loosened and dropped into his outstretched palm.
He waited, watching her wrestle with herself. Her hands clenched against her thighs as she drew several deep breaths until she calmed. Andrew saw the strength it took not to reach for her throat.
“Don’t worry, Angel, it’ll be here when you return.” Andrew soothed, setting the collar on the table beside him.
He offered his hand, helping her stand and step into the stilettos she’d left beside her.
Angela kept her gaze lowered. Andrew placed his hand beneath her chin, raising her head until her dark eyes met his.
